Monospaced Fonts - Everyone should own a few of these. Having
trouble distinguishing those oh's and zeros, and L's and ones? Find a better
font. Even those that they don't have links to are pretty easy to find
on altavista.

Metapad - a notepad clone, small and fast, looks like notepad
even. but it has lots of little features that make it a very worthy replacement
(such as unix/dos paragraph markers, umm, replace., you know those things
that just make text editing easier ...)
