Through Steve’s Lego Blog I came across Lego item 6000, an “Idea Book” from 1980. The horse-drawn cart jumped out at me as being both interesting and something we might have enough of the proper pieces to build.
Building Instructions
Because I don’t like wasting paper, and the directions for this model were split across several pages, I pasted them all into one image for printing. Doesn’t look as pretty as in the book this way, but it doesn’t take several pages this way. I printed it with “scale to fit page” mode enabled, to make sure it filled the page nicely.
Our Build
We didn’t have any giant awesome wheels like that, so I just used monster truck tires. And after digging and digging and digging I couldn’t find the back of the tow-ball joint, so you’ll just have to pretend it’s there 😉
