Today’s model is a shell gas station truck from set 6394 “Metro Park & Service Tower” from 1988:
You’ll notice in step 1 that this calls for a fairly common but oddly shaped car base piece (“bracket”). This piece is fairly common in sets produced between 1985 to 2006. Although it’s difficult to build from plain bricks in a way that will stay together on it’s own due to the 5-stud length bottom part, in this case the yellow flat bricks added in step 2 will hold it together. Substitution would be (2) 2×3 flat bricks, (2) 2×2 flat bricks, and (4) 1×2 flat bricks.
