Free Spray Grounds & Playgrounds With Water Features:
Folsom
(John) Kemp Park
This is a great first water feature to try with younger toddlers. There is a circular cement-bottomed area with gentle vertical fountains. Nothing big, scary here, though it can be a little slippery at times. May be shady and breezy, especially in the mornings. (Photo by J. Brown)
Water feature includes a waterfall that flows into a small stream that is good for floating toy boats down. The bottom of the stream is rocks, and quite tempting to walk through so this feature is better for older kids and toddlers who are steady on their feet rather than babies just learning to walk, but if your baby is still in the sitting stage, they may also enjoy it unless they dislike the water temperature. Nisenan Community Park
Water play feature is operated by push button on demand rather than a timer, so hours and dates of operation may be more flexible. Water jets shoot vertically out of the ground, starting low, but peaking at 10+ feet tall. (Photo by Janelle Edwards)
